In the name Yanaguana we honor the being and the stories
of the many tribes of peoples
whose footsteps echo in this land.
We honor creativity and the bringing forth of art in all its forms.
We directly honor this old name for the San Antonio River
and through this the peoples and waters of this land
as being in connection and intertwined
and the land itself as it holds and springs forth
the waters that make up the rivers
that give us life.
